We are offering a salary of ₱16,000 - ₱38,000 for this position for interested candidates. However, this salary range can be negotiated and changed if the candidate's credibility exceeds our expectations and for sure, the agreement is adjusted to the policies of our company's HRD. As a Project Accountant, you will be based in the Philippines and will support our Project Managers in the UK/NA. Our business is growing rapidly and in this exciting opportunity you will be a key member of the Finance team, supporting the successful, profitable delivery of our projects to our clients. HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:

Following are lists of responsibilities but these are not exhaustive. Other responsibilities may be assigned depending on management needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supporting monthly project reviews with Project Managers
  • Inputting project financial data into Oracle NetSuite, our ERP, in a timely, accurate fashion, to ensure up to date, accurate project financials
  • Supporting with project profitability reporting to support the analysis of business performance
  • Setting up new projects in NetSuite
  • Setting up new clients in NetSuite
  • Setting up new suppliers in NetSuite
  • Closing projects in NetSuite, in a timely fashion
  • Reforecasting projects in line with the Project Managers’ requirements
  • Applying change orders/variations to the project in line with the Project Manager’s instructions
  • Ensuring billing is completed as per Project Managers’ instructions for both fixed fee and time and materials projects
  • Filing project contracts in the appropriate SharePoint site
  • Monitoring the Project Admin Inbox for project set up issues and responding promptly, as required
  • Carrying out inter-project time and expense transfers and billing between operating companies in the Group
  • Checking and ensuring the correct revenue recognition is applied to projects
  • Interpreting and clarifying project results, including commentary on deviations, the underlying causes and corrective actions to be taken
  • Monitoring work in progress & unbilled receivables and producing regular Work In progress (WIP) reports in an agreed format
  • Maintaining forecast and actual project billing dates
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous process improvement on an ongoing basis
  • Preparing and updating process documentation in compliance with standard project accounting processes
  • Performing other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time by your Manager.

REQUIREMENTS – WHAT YOU NEED TO QUALIFY

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or part qualified accountant
  • Strong technical accounting skills, ideally in the context of project accounting
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant working experience
  • Exposure in Shared Service or Multinational environment is an advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word) is essential
  • Excellent English language written and verbal communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills with a strong customer service focus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive self-starter with first class organizational ability, who is detail oriented, and results focused, and able to oversee and support the financial administration of several projects at once
  • Proactive and a committed team player
  • Can work under pressure and minimal supervision
  • Can work on flexible hours to meet changing work environment and to meet tight deadlines
  • Experience working with and managing contracts preferred
  • Proficient ability to detect errors and inconsistencies
  • Experience of working in the professional services sector is advantageous

Preferred:

  • Experience with Oracle NetSuite
