DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ø Creates and implements regional procurement strategies that are innovative, cost-effective, and incorporate the growing complexities and challenges within the industry
Ø Compares and analyzes proposals for price and specifications
Ø Reviews contract specifications on behalf of the company
Ø Communicates with vendors to ensure that the product arrives in a timely manner
Ø Builds and maintains long-term relationships with the suppliers
Ø Manages technological systems that track the shipment, inventory and supply of materials
Ø Leads informational activities to build procurement organizational capabilities and improve procurement efficiency
Ø Prepares daily, weekly and monthly procurement reports
Ø Keeps abreast of changing industry trends
Ø Works directly with General Manager to streamline the procurement & delivery process of Raw Materials, Packaging Materials, Toll Manufacturers, and Materials and Services involving CAPEX.
Ø Performs Costing of Purchase Orders
Ø Sets and administers an annual procurement budget and achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
